World air cargo leader, WFS, built the first new cargo terminal at JFK in 30 years. It’s a groundbreaking facility with a streamlined Customs Examination System, and advanced temp controls, allowing international shippers to speed pharma and other perishables to market via NYC. We designed, fabricated and installed three 86″ high illuminated signs, as well as assorted building IDs, vinyl and a remote pylon to help truckers find the building. Challenge: the walls are a ribbed Versacore panels, alternating foam and cement. Landing the letter pins on the cement would cause structural compromise.

Building 260 sets new standards for efficiency and safety and is a showpiece not just for JFK’s aviation ecosystem, but to the air cargo industry worldwide.– Mike Simpson, Chief Executive Officer

As a Five Towns resident who lives and commutes directly under the JFK flight path, I found this project extra special. Lufthansa Heist, anyone?
